Hi there, please don't hesitate to point me in the right direction if I'm not in the right place for this question.
I've been experiencing consistent issues with the video I rip from blurays. Generally speaking the video quality is excellent and I'm pretty happy with it, however I whenever there is a particularly dark scene I've noticed a lot of pronounced artifacts.
Can anyone provide some advice on how to correct this issue?
My current process looks like this:
Ripped with MakeMKV v1.8.0
Transcoded with Video Monkey
Quicktime, Encode Only (Normal Speed)
16.8 Mbps 23.976FPS H.264
Encoded with Cineasset
JP2k FOR DCIENMA bitrate - 250Mbs
Color converted from RGB to XYZ
Import as 24/30fps
This is all being completed on a Mac Pro 4 with 16 gigs of ram
