I have just come across these speakers:
    http://www.artcoustic.com/products.htm

The Artcoustic Multi can be used as centre and left and right... and looks awesome!
    but it is £1300!

The Artcoustic Diablo Monitors can used as rears ... and are £1000 for the pair.
BUT the benefit I like with this is that you can put your own picture on them at £80 each! ...removes the need for any other artwork or whatever on your walls.

(Ouch!!! ...when you write it down you can see how much speakers alone are costing!)
    Hmmmm...........

Do I need front L and R, or will the Artcoustic Multi just do?
(and pair of Diablo's at rear ... maybe 3 at rear??)

    Multi:

    Diablo:

whats your thoughts on their performance???

    Thanks,
    Sid

The dealer said the Multi by itself on the front would not be enough, as its ideal for upto 7ft away. My audience will be around 10ft away from the screen & front speakers.

So they suggested going for the Diablo C1:
    http://www.artcoustic.com/download/Diablo C-1.pdf

and then the 4 x Diablo Monitors all round (2 front and 2 back).
However this C1 is not as long as the Multi which is the same length as the plasma ...

I want everything to be in proportion and look good on the eye.

Another option is the Artison Portraits? (£1300)

Left & Right only ...so wouldn't need a centre speaker....
    thinking of aethestics!!

I have found the answer I was looking for by contacting Artcoustics direct, in the UK!
    After much searching:

They say the DF Multi is more than enough for a small room like mine.
4m away from the speaker is great. Just what they have in their showroom.

don't forget to budget for a sub as the smaller ones don't really do bass. i listened to the bigger 65-50s earlier this year and they were awesome but in the end bought something else as i couldn't mount the L&R on the wall

Basically I want the Diablo's Mini's, but Artcoustic do not do the Design service on them.... (says they are too small ... but they aren't, as they are almost an A4 page in size!)

I'd be happy to send my speaker cloths off to Denmark!!
    Exact printer company details?? .....longshot!

I "had" bought the DF Multi for £500 from Pounds TV, 2nd hand from Frank Skinner with 12 months warranty, however they now say the £117 deposit I paid was for an install quote not the speaker, which is not how they said it at the time.

They've sold the speaker, and I feel totally ripped off now.
Plus their install quote is ludricously higher than others!!
