Hello and welcome :)

I'm interested in some light boxes. You've posted in the Advertiser Exclusive Deals section, so what exclusive deals have you got for us? :)

Great point Triggaaar!

Hi again

Are all double sided posters (ones where the reverse side is a mirror image) suitable for light boxes?

I see you do the 27" x 40" boxes, for original movie posters
Those posters aren't cheap, so if we want copies, can you recommend anywhere to shop, as I'm guessing most shops sell 24" x 36" posters?

Also, can you tell me what colour temperature your LEDs are?

Thanks

And am I right in thinking there are similar but different sized posters available?

Thanks

Hi there!

Single sided posters can be used in a Light Box, but double-sided ones are specifically designed for use in Light Boxes. This blog post shows the difference…

Why are most modern movie posters double sided?

… as for sizes, since the late 1980’s US one sheet posters have standardised at 27x40 inches (circa 69 cm x 102 cm, portrait). The UK quad is 30 x 40 inches (circa 76 x 102 cm, landscape).

We offer Light Boxes (and traditional framing) for both formats.

On our site you can use the ‘Light Box Ready’ and ‘Quad Light Box Ready’ filters to show the posters that we have available for each.

I hope that helps.

Do ask if your have any more questions, we are here to help. :)

Regards,

Adam.

Thanks Adam

I had edited my post above with a couple of questions:

I won't be after the landscape format frames, only the portrait.

You obviously have some lovely original posters, but I might be after several, meaning I need to buy cheaper copies, not originals. Can we get copies in the 27" x 40" from many places, or is it easier to get the 24" x 36"?

Oh, and I also asked what colour temperature your LEDs are?

Thanks :)

Double sided printing of this type is a more expensive process and I am not aware of any companies that produce (or are indeed licensed to produce) double-sided reproductions.

You are right to say that where licenses for commercial posters are granted, that is usually at the 24 x 36 in format.

As for LED colour temperature, a Light Box needs to show off the colours in the poster, rather than add its own, so we use ‘very white’ LEDs at 10,000K. Clearly (no pun intended), that is the colour temperature, they do not actually give off any perceptible heat!

Adam.

Hi Adam,

My wife bought me one of your lightboxes for my birthday and it’s stunning. Trying to make some wall space in the cinema room so I can get some more in. Keep up the great work.
