I've just placed the order for £17.99. However, am I ordering the DVD from the US or is the UK PLAY.COM?? The price was listed as CA$42.99 but when I went to checkout (after it accepted my usual login details) it changed to £17.99. Can't believe that they are going to post it FREE to the UK from US. PLAY.COM are saying that R2 isn't available until March, and they don't offer the R1 version for sale, so where is my R1 coming from? Thanks

    Hiya

I don't know where it comes from. Sometimes the Canadian editions are sent out so it could come from Canada. But rest assured that shipping is included. My region 1 copy from playusa took about 4 days to get to me for £17.99.

Pretty good as the Region 2 version is going to cost about £27.99 on play.com.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Muz.

As you say, who cares where its getting posted from? If the price includes free postage then its a great deal. Strange that the R2 version will cost £27 - is this rip-off Britain again?

It arrived (from wherever it came from) in around 5 days !! And what a show - I thoroughly recommend you all to try and check it out. £17.99 is a bargain for 22 episodes. It appears to be one of those shows that not a lot of people know about but which is superbly written and funny - if it was on a prime chanel at a prime time it would get millions of viewers. A future cult classic? And I will be using PLAYUSA again - superb service.

I second that! Great show that I ordered on a whim and I didn't regret it. I didn't even know that it had been shown on TV in the UK ... probably because it was shown on BBC2 in some strange slot with no publicity or hype!

Season 2 is airing in the US - and I hope that it will be out on DVD soon!

SOK - Was yours the 2 disc version that came from playusa. Just before christmas I considered buying it from playusa myself but I opted to grab one from eBay instead as I got wind that their was a newly produced 3 disc set of this series.

It wasn't made that clear on the playusa site whether it was the 2 or the 3 disc version so I played it safe and ordered elsewhere. I only payed just over £15 including shipping as well.

I also have to agree that it's a superb series and i've been watching the 2nd series as well which is currently been aired in america and it just gets better and better.

Mine was the 3 disc version, but I don't see any problem with that. You said that you got wind of the fact that PLAYUSAs was the 3 disc as if this is a bad thing, but I don't see the problem.

I just heard in general that there was a 3 disc set. I was just confused that play didn't make it clear wether or not they were selling the 2 disc verison or the 3 disc version. There wasn't a problem anywhere, just wanted to make sure I was getting the best version (which was the 3 disc set)

So, you'd rather bump a six year old thread that is all about buying the dvds of the tv series (which really doesn't belong in this forum) rather than starting a new one on the possible movie?

As much as I loved the original series, I cannot help but feel it is milking it out for the benefit of a minority of fans (remember America did not really 'get it', hence cancellation)

Indeed. If it ever gets made, I get the feeling it'll be like Serenity. The fans will probably love it, but it'll tank horribly at the box office.

As a fan, I would be delighted to see a movie. Box office flop or not!
