I'm looking for some fun RPG games to play. I've played through the Saints Row, watch dogs, Far Cry. I loved the Stick of Truth and I'm considering a third play through. I also enjoyed the older Final Fantasy games and elder scroll series.
I don't mind if it is a bit older but it needs to run in windows 10 and playable on a 42" LED tv, preferable at 1080p. I must be able to play it in widescreen and the Ui needs to scale. I tried playing system shock 2 and Gothic 2 recently but they didn't age well. The controls in particular bothered me in SS2. In a few I have tried they look terrible in low res and in higher res the huds become to small and I can't read any text.
In regards to the game they need to be fun. Some depth but I shouldn't feel like I'm re-reading the entire wheel of time series. I enjoyed Planescape: torment but that's not what I'm looking for right now. I don't mind a party system but I don't want combat to be an exercise in micromanagement. Open world is preferable so that I can explore.
I will give the Witcher 2 and Fallout: New Vegas a try, Dead Island: Riptide and Shadow Warrior.
I will also be giving Subnautic, Stranded Deep and Starbound a go after they get out of early access.
