    Simple question:-

Criterion edition or latest region 1/2 incarnation?

Only looking for the full version of the movie with added bits, well, added in.

Not really interested in the extras detailing the contents of Billy Bobs pants.

Is it worth forking out another 30 kablingys on the criterion edition?

    Cheers

R2 - and save enough cash to buy something else you like. As far as I know, the R2 is the same as the Critereon except for one feature, which Critereon actually own.

The pic and sound quality on the new R2 are excellent and it still has a good set of features to boot!

Buy it, and with your savings, buy Deep Impact, which is, in my opinion, a much better version of the same story. More believable characters and takes itself more seriously than Armageddon.

The Criterion edition (in the US - can't speak for the UK one) has a couple of short scenes added back into the movie. They don't add any value to the story, IMHO.

The UK 2 disc DVD is the extended version of the movie as well.
