Browsing TVs and came across the new range of TVs from hisense including their OLED.

REALLY tempted me to get the U7B as almost bought the U7A. A lot of the TVs seem to be supporting Dolby Vision.

I'm in the market for the u7b too. I've contacted Argos, hisense and richer sounds regarding these. Argos and hisense couldn't tell me, richer sounds were thinking 1st July too. Although you might want to check out Hughes.co.uk. they say they have them in stock and you can pick one up for £600 if you use the voucher. I'm in two minds whether or not to pull the trigger as I would have wanted it through currys or richer sounds because of the 5/6 year warranty you get with them.

Does seem like the U7B is coming into stock because the 50" UB7 is showing delivery withing 2 days from Argos so i guess hughes stock could be correct yet amazon are showing release for 1st july.

I was hoping for some reviews by now. As they are slowly coming out.

I'm debating on whether to get something like this or going on the opposite end of the spectrum and getting something like a Sony XF90 or Samsung Q8 whilst also buying a 4K Apple TV unit, and either a soundbar or 2.1 set up

That’s what’s swinging me towards the Samsung... but there’s no Dolby vision.

That’s it, if I go to the Sony xf90 I can get an Apple TV box and get Dolby Vision then. But man when I was looking at the 2019 QLED’s (which some aren’t as good as the 2018’s) and the colours looked great.

I ask myself... will I not notice the lack of Dolby Vision if I never see it? Will the vibrancy of a QLED be on par with the Dolby Vision content on the Sony?

The Sony would cost a little bit more than the Q8 after you take into consideration the additional Apple 4K box. (Can we actually buy 4K movies off iTunes on the Samsung Apple app?) could Samsung add support for Dolby vision?

Did read that the Sony will get the Apple app in the future.

I've just ordered the hisense u7b from John Lewis. They have agreed to price match what Hughes.co.uk were offering it at £609. Was supposed to be £700. But now I'm getting the 5 year guarantee too . It comes on the 1st July so I will be back on no doubt to see if anyone has got any picture settings

From what I can make out the U7b is pretty much exactly the same as the U7a except in having DV and being a brighter panel. If it's as good as the U7a I had then it will be a great TV for the money... My hisense flagship u9a now that's another story......

Had nearly talked myself into getting one if they came down to sub £1K for the 65. Am now thinking the u8b might be good value....

Yea just doing a big off digging that seems right plus it has the smooth motion rate 200 instead of the 100 on the u7b . I dunno whether to send back and get the u8b now or not

Doubt you would notice diff in motion, 400vs1000nits is quite a lot but then not much hdr material anyway.

So would I only notice the nits difference on HDR content then? Cos to be honest this seems boss as it is. Just bugging me that they're near enough the same price as each other.

Well after having 3 u9a's in under a month I gave up and went oled lg b8... The u9a looks fab when it's working but all 3 sets within days started having motion problems, really bad dirty screen effect and grid pattern bleed from the full array backlight... It made the sets unwatchable, if Hisense actually put decent processors in their tvs then they'd be brilliant, however sadly the u9a is full of specs and should blow the qleds away, alas let down badly by cheap processing chips.

I think you’d certainly notice a difference in quality the higher the brightness the better for certain colours and contrast

I've just noticed a slight stutter on it when I'm watching TV . It done this on my other hisense which is a 6 series . It's so distracting has any one got any ideas or I'd this just cos of the processor in it ? Might have to send it back
