Argos & HD1 Upgrade Refund

    Anyone who bought their HD1 at Argos take note:

    Argos described the HD1 as an MP3 player, which out of the box it is clearly not! :oops:

    Argos have said they will refund me £20 to include the packing of the item to send to Sony as well as the £15 upgrade fee!

    I emailed them, sent them copies of the URL from Sony showing the upgrade details, they contacted Sony, confirmed that the HD1 does not play MP3's as they describe and allegedly a CHQ is on it's way to me as we speak!

    It is a clear cut case of misrepresentation on Argos's part but they have put this right, well done Argos!

    Nice one Diverse, Must do the same. What was the Argos email address to complain to thanks.

    The Argos website describes the NW-HD1 as a "Sony 20Gb Hard Drive Walkman MP3." which is clearly not as regards to MP3 player part of the description.

    Ekko did you phone or email Argos, I just keep getting back emails from Argos saying about the NW-HD1 being out of stock and suggestion some other product and not answering my question about having to fork out £15 to upgrade my HD1 to support MP3's arrgghh !!.

    I emailed Argos last weekend , was phoned monday to say they were transferring my claim to their email customer complaints department and have heard nothing since - how many days it it take for your £20 to arrive after first contact ?
