If it's for flooring you will need 18 sq metres

Did you know you can do all sorts of maths and conversions directly in Google? For example, if you go to Google and type:

19 ft x 19 ft in square meters

    it will tell you:

    (19 ft) x 19 ft = 33.5379974 square meters

You can do any sort of maths you like - such as:

    (15 * 24) ounces in micrograms

    gives you

    (15 * 24) * oz = 10 205 828 325 micrograms

So did any of the three different answers turn out to be right? (18, 16 or 33 sq m).

Yours wouldn't have been as you used the wrong room dimensions :)

The only difference between the other two is that I rounded up the dimensions to the nearest whole metre, which I think you need to if you are ordering carpet (assuming that is what it was for).
