    Question:

Are you too old to play games?

I started gaming back when the first 16k Spectrum and VIC20 appeared and I have not given up since. Now with an Xbox and looking forward to the 360 I do sometimes wonder if I am the only 33 year old who plays them.
Please tell me I am not on my own!!!!!

your never to old, thats all there is to it. would you say your to old to ride a bike ??? i came across a guy in an online game who was 55. he canned my ass and everyone else in the server. at the end he was getting called Godfather, pops etc all in good jest i might add. he says he never feels out of place and will give all the wippersnappers a run for his money. im 21 still loving games probably more so now because i can afford what i like and i hope im still gaming in 20 + years time when all you do is plug some silly chip into your head and you experience it as if you were there :D

I am 33, been playing games since I was about 10.

I will always play games, I love them. Cant wait for Xbox 360 and PS3 !!!!!!!!

I many ways its better being older as I can afford a decent setup and a HI-DEF display to really appreciate the games.

I'm 31 and no plans for retirement until at least Playstation10 and Xbox1080 ;)

TBH with the way the consoles and games are maturing lately I think it's way less imbarising to admit your still a games player in your 30's, the next gen cosoles are gonna look great in any lounge. Even the handhelds, I didn't really like to be seen out playing my GBA in all honesty, not so with my PSP, the PSP cool image is going to attract a whole army of previously hiddden public gamers whcih is only a good thing

The answer is yes you are too old, and so am I and so is everyone else on this site. Really - you should know better.

In reality, playing games is for kids. I just don't fancy letting go of my youth just yet, (or ever for that matter).

Long live Xbox 360, we'll all be there first in the queue with our £300.

I'm currently almost 32 years through my 12th life and still gaming like a trooper!

This question only arises because the first generation of gamers were (obviously with a few exceptions) born in the 60's & 70's. Therefore quite a few people born before then tend to still view video games as kids toys, simply because they don't understand them. :lesson:

36 and gaming the odd time, when the mood and other priorities let me. Not so much online as with 17 yo son and his friends - can still hold my own, just about!

Ha ha ha !!! Gaming is too good for these young 'uns. All they want to do is learn how to finish the games without playing them and learn how to cheat. Too good for 'em I say.

Now, I remember playing my first games on the Acorn Electron in the 80's and then the MegaDrive and then the Saturn, and finally I'm an avid Xbox gamer.

As far as I'm concerned...the true gamers are in their 30's (I'm 38 by the way).

Of course, this is said with tongue firmly in cheek......or is it?

    :D

By the way...without the younger gamers spending their pocket money on the latest games and returning them to the 'seconds' bin within a few weeks at half price, where would we all be? You gotta love 'em. :smashin:

How could you argue with bigger bats, smaller bats, fast balls, slow balls - so many options :rotfl: but hey it was better than Nationwide :D

Then the heady heights of the Atari 2600 - heaven  Combat :D
