Wrong section; perhaps. But I have browsed the 'remote' section, and have the hunch that those are happy with the obi learning remote dont go there, so I ask it here.

To what extent should I count the learning remote that is supplied with a mid-to high end av amp/rec in my reckoning?

Or should I expect to cough up £100+ on a pronto etc?

my advice would be 'suck it and see'.

the remote that came with my 3802 is ok, but i tend to use my all singing and dancing marantz

The one that came with my Sony STR-VA555ES is very good. Got it programmed to control the DVD and TV as well. Works fine.

    Cheers
