I though I would do a poll on the latest Bond DVD so far I will not be getting as I thought it was one of the worst bond films ever and quite a lot of people have the same opinion. Yet others though it was one of the best.

You missed the 'Will be getting the DVD, seen the film - thought it was Ok but a bit silly in places - but must have the DVD because it will look good on the shelf' option. So I voted for two instead.

Watched it on Saturday and it isn't that bad - not as good as World Is Not Enough though IMHO.

Shall rent it as i do not own any of the others. If I get one I'll probably be tempted to buy all the others and could do without the expense.

What are you all like ?
Surely this has got to be the best James Bond film to date.

If there was a choice for a TV channel to show any Bond movie incl. the latest one- I know where my money would be, but that would never be one of the choices! I wonder why...no contest.

Didn't enjoy it, but i'm gonna have to buy it to go as I have the others to complete the collection! I even bought Never Say Never Again, now surely that is the worst Bond film!

I thought Moonraker was the worst; there was too much comedy in it for my liking pigeons doing double takes, Jaws falling for that girl, and when his parachute failed flapping his arms etc oh dear it could have been so much better.

By the way where do you rate Casino Royal then?

Watched it last night. What a pile of poo. The last couple were "entertaining" as the novelty of having a good bond again (Brosnan) was there.

This was appalling. No real plot of any interest. More than cheesy lines. Terrible acting. Terrible everything! It mad me laugh out loud it was so bad.

Bond has become a cheap franchise for kids. Where has all the mysique, mystery, grandeur, tension, amazement gone??? Flipping a few cars (cars that only feel the need to use tyre spikes on ice for about 1% of the time) and hovercraft is just not good enough for the intelligent public now.

How one can enjoy this after watching the masterpiece that Johnny Darko is is a mystery.

P.s. I CAN watch a film for the "fun" factor, but this did not fulfill it in any way.

Oh, and unless there is a problem with my setup, in DTS the surround "sides" did nothing, only the surround backs. I had to switch back to DD

I'll be buying it because it can't be that bad, and surely has great audio / visual qualities. I'm waiting for the R1 though, as it's only about £12 from DVD Soon. ;)

Johnny Darko?? Is that the one with the mad Hamster?

Diamonds are Forever is another candidate for worst Bond ever. I liked Die Another Day, bought and watched it on Friday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The LFE was completely over the top though I had to turn my sub down.

I enjoyed the film at the cinema and have bought it. It didn't help that I have the other Bonds and needed it to compete the collection.

Have to agree with Confucius, above. The World is Not Enough is by far the worst and most boring of Bond movies. The set-pieces were amatuer and it looked cheap. Die Another Day didn't really have anything to live up to after that. Also nice to see someone else rates O.H.M.S.S. highly.

Will not be buying dvd as I nearly walked out of the film. Awful stuff. I used to love the bond films but Die Another Day should be retitled Die Another Bond. A film catering for the computer game fans and nothing else. Terrible.

Funny how Sean Connery seem to look past it in that film yet Roger Moore looked quite fresh in Live and Let Die and he is older than Sean.

It poked a bit of fun at itself, but was definitely better than TWINE or TND. It actually had a (far fetched) plot, for a start!

On a par with Goldeneye, I think. A decent bond.
