I don't understand how you connect everything up
I guess the Sky HD HDMI cable goes into the TV as normal then what connects it to the receiver and then what about PS3s how do they connect surely the HDMI cables goes into the tv also.
What's all the HDMI inputs for then?
Cheers really what to but one but I am put off by connection issues
Cheers

If the receiver is capable of HDMI video switching and audio decoding/pass-thru then connect PS3 to receiver via HDMI. Sky+HD to receiver using HDMI and Optical Digital as Sky only outputs stereo over HDMI. Then connect the receiver's HDMI out to the TV.

See above.

I think you mean want to buy one? If so then do some research on here and if you are interested in getting the most from the PS3 then make sure it can handle multichannel audio over HDMI
Cheers
Hope that helps.

I'm certainly no expert on this subject, but if you are happy with a very basic answer:D......
I presume you are talking about amps with HDMI input/outputs?
You simply plug all your components (ps3,dvd,video etc) into the amp with whatever is the best connection (i.e. HDMI).

Then, you run one HDMI from your amp to your T.V, when you want to watch/listen to a particular piece of kit, you select it on the amp, and the amp switches the audio and video for you.
Modern av amps have loads of different connection options, it really is very simple, the only thing you may have to do is buy some more leads!

Beaten to it!
