hornydragon: at the risk of sounding speaker illiterate, i take it by bass unit, you mean the sub. if so, i was gonna route the speakers through my denon amp and use my kef sub instead....

    p.s. thanks for replying...

hornydragon - thanks for clearing that up... is it possible to incorporate the bass unit into my setup. i was hoping to use four of them for the rears but havent a clue whether or not they can be routed through the denon avca11sr amp?

Dfour - thanks for the heads up but am trying to be a cheapskate. i have spent what i feel is fortunes on my gear and am trying to be more careful financially as i have loads of cables and equipment lying around as it is that can do the job. e.g. linn keosa floorstanders which are collecting dust cos i aint got enough room for em at the mo. i am looking to stick four flat panels on my rear wall so as not to take up space either on stands on the floor or more space than necessary on the walls. it's the damn advert at the top right that got me thinking maybe for less than a ton, i could have some reasonable rears that look pleasing aesthetically as well as do the job they are meant for (probably not Home Cinema mind).

thanks for the link mind. they do look nice....

yeah the high level connections from amp go to the bass unit, wiring them is easy but it is 2 extra boxes!
