I have not bought a dvd for a while, the last film i bought was the village and Bourne Supremacy when they came out. I was thinking of buying the following.

    Seed of Chucky £9.99
    Cursed £6.99
    The Machinst £13.99
    darkness £7.99
    Birth £13.99
    Oceans 12 £8.99
    Assassination of Richard Nixon £15.99

I think I will just buy 3 of the above films which ones would you recomend. I like thriller, action and horror. I thought the others was good, wrong turn man on fire that sort of thing.

where'd you see cursed and darkness so cheap?

ps seed of chucky is ok, not as good as the other 4 though,
darkness is pretty good but the end was weird
oceans's 12 is ok but not as good as ocean's 11

Hmmm well Cursed that you mention isn't the Christina Ricci/Werewolf movie (just in case you weren't aware).

Seed of Chucky isn't a good horror movie, but it is definitely good fun. Oceans 12, while not on a par with its prequel, is also not bad entertainment, but the first was definitely better.
Assassination of Richard Nixon is in the review section, as is Oceans 12 BTW, so maybe a good idea to read those to get a feel?

If I had to pick just 3 - I'd pick Seed of Chucky, Cursed and Nixon. 1 because Chucky is just dumb fun, 2 because I like Asian Horrors and 3 because it was a riveting performance with a very intriguing dramatic storyline.

The only film on your list that I've seen is "Birth", which I enjoyed a lot. It doesn't quite fit any of your three favorite categories, though. You might call it a supernatural thriller, but with a low-key tone. If you like Nicole Kidman, you'll love the movie -- she's great in this one. Be forewarned: the ending is rather confusing (deliberately so, I think...).

I saw Darkness on Movietyme region 0 which is why it was so cheap. I ordered Seed of Chucky and the Machinst for now though might buy a few films in town later in the week the grudge for example.
I only bought 2 dvd films for now and orderd 2 psp games instead of more films.
