I saved this on a pause after noticing a faint line running down the TV....

Can anyone explain what it is? Am I right? Any fix or is it new TV Time?

Not quite sure what you mean by "on a pause"

If you are pausing the live transmission you can get all sorts of artefacts on that single frame

A dead pixel will show in the same place all the time while the programme is running live. Constant colour

Explain more about "faint line running down the tv"

I paused the TV to try and catch the faint line.... Is hardly noticeable but on TV tonight I noticed a small line running down the TV in the same place. It's like a digital coloured line.... Hard to explain other than that tbh.

Not noticed the line again since Emmerdale (Missus was watching it honest :) ) Watched my media PC all last night and seemed to be ok.... possibly nothing to worry about.

Not dead/stuck pixels. They'd be there all the time

Could be transmission errors, could be developing fault on the set

I'd forget it. Unless of course you're hankering after a new.....

if you post what make/model your TV is (LCD or Plasma) I can move this thread to the appropriate forum.

LCD.....

Thanks 961, I promise it was co-incidental that I noticed this line (seriously) :)

I will put it down to an issue from the sky feed/box and bide my time on the new TV :D

Want one of those Sammies that go right to the edge of the screen... they look sweeetttt.
