    Hi All,
I've just arranged the £65 upgrade for my sky to a Sky+160 box. It looks like there are several boxes out there (Amstrad/Pace/others??) I don't know if I will get a choice or not but is there anything I should be aware of when the chap comes out next week? It sounds like, for example, the Amstrad one is a clicky noisy thing! Any advice would be appreciated!
    Cheers

well if you have upgraded to sky + 160 the only box you will get is a Thomson.

If you have upgraded to sky + then you may get Amstrad, Thomson or Pace, try and get one of the last two by asking the engineer.

If this person has gone for the actual PVR 160 and not the PVR3 standard then there will be no choice but Thomson.

It seems to me though for £65 i would be suspicious it was only the standard version which does have a 160GB hard drive, but only 80GB Personal and 80GB reserved for future use.
