    Hi Folks,
I was wondering if any retailers sell reconditioned digital camcorders at discount prices. There must be a lot of camcorders returned to manufacturers shortly after they are sold with minor or not so minor faults that are repaired and are as good as new. What happens to these? Are they sold as new again or are they passed on to a "factory outlet store"? Are there any such stores for any of the major camcorder manufacturers in the UK?

    Regards,

    Dermot

DNH as listed above still sell reconditioned cameras. The website seems to belong to a domain sitter now, but you can all DNH on 020-8295-0568.

Having said that, the fall in prices over the last few years means that there isn't a great deal of difference in prices these days between new and recon.

I would probably only buy semi pro models for decent price reconditioned
Consumer models are so affordable that new (with guarantee and "shiny tape heads":) ) dont cost a lot
Certainly the likes of Cash Converters ect may have a lot of possibly well used models ( which may be overpriced if you dont haggle)
And there is always .. ebay:devil:
