Hi

I am trying to tune my HT and just cant seem to win with the front speakers, i am not sure why.

Specss are

AVR: Yamaha RX-A2050
FRONT: Aaron ATS-5
CENTRE: Aaron CC-240
ATMOS: 4x Yamaha NS-IC800
REAR: 2x Polk V-85 In Walls
SUBWOOFER: 2x SVS PB-NSD12

I removed the grills today and got up a little closer to try and listen in more detail and found to me the woofers just don't look right to me on beat, and to be honest, given the volume just dont seem to be performing

See:

i triple checked my wiring, red to red black to black all the way through

also, here is my settings in my AVR

thanks in advance.

You would be very hard pushed to tell if a speaker is out of phase just by the movement of the driver. They move very fast.

Are your subs dialled in correctly?

Try rew and check for phase issues between the fronts and the sub/subs.

Yamaha amp have phase detection during the AV setup, so if this should/would be flagged during setup?

As above out of phase would be hard spot by eye. I think you would hear an effect of cancelled out frequencies and nulls within the room.
