Whatever happened to simplicity? The more I read about todays Flat Panel televisions the less I like. I happened to be browsing the manual for the Samsung LE32R41BD at work - (if anyone asks tell them it was in my dinner hour). Anyway back to the point - all I want to do is watch telly, not a lot to ask I know and yet after only a few minutes with the manual I just gave up. There appears to be more settings than you can shake a stick out, even the remote control has page after page of instructions about what it can do. I am not interested in this or that picture mode, and the wife would never understand it - Please manufacturers, I simply want to sit down of an evening, put my feet up, relax, turn on the t.v. and watch my favourite programmes. I do not want to scroll through this or that picture setting, contrast, dynamic picture control or anything else - just plain good old telly. PS. the manual belonged to a work colleague who asked me if I could explain it to him as he too had lost the will to live whilst reading it.
