As component output is the closest to the original data stored on the DVD, is this analogue output passed on to the outputs with minimal intervention by the DVD player?

If this is the case, is one DVD player's component output as good as any other players output?

Secondly, is DVI from a PC that much better?

If DVI = 100% what would you rate.......
    Component?
    RGB?
    SVideo?
Composite? (not that anyone really uses this, do they?)

I realize that this thread could belong in the HW DVD section but I am shortly going to purchase a projector and I want to know what PJ people think.
