I just bought an LG C7 television and I wanted to buy a 4K Blu Ray player too. The only problem is I live in Ireland and I only like to buy Blu Rays from Amazon US because I hate the UK covers. I looked everywhere for a 4K region-free Blu Ray player but none of them can be shipped to Ireland. A lot of the 4K Blu Ray discs on Amazon say "US & Canada only" but I remember hearing that all 4K discs aren't locked to a region... Please help! I want to watch Planet Earth 2!!!! :)

Buy a Bluray player from the US if you must have US Blurays. UHD 4k discs are region free but some Blurays and virtually all dvd's are not. If you're already kitted up for playing US Blurays then a UK 4k player will do and be cheaper than importing.
All depends on whether you want to use more than one player and what you want to spend

I won't even be able to plug a 2-prong US Blu Ray player in :)

And if you did it would likely blow up lol you would need a step down converter or a player that is multi-voltage.

If you need a UHD player that can handle Blu-rays and DVDs from other regions I would recommend taking a look here...

Ultra HD Blu-ray - Multiregionmagic The Home Of Multi Region UHD 4K, Blu-Ray & DVD

Pay no attention to Amazon product descriptions as they are often wrong, UHD is a region free format its only the included BD's that might be region locked.

Adapter plugs cost next to nothing.
You say you already play US Blurays so that assumes you're multi region already so just buy any 4k player and you'll be able to play 4k discs from UK and US

Not all of my US Blu Rays play on my PS4. Only some of them are region free. I bought the Donnie Darko Lemited Edition 4K Blu Ray a while back and I can't play it on any of my devices (PS4, 2 Blu Ray players)

Your point is? The 4K disc will be region free like all 4K discs. The blu-rays may be locked though.

I think his point is that they are advertising a 4K release as Region 1 so for the uninformed they would see that and assume it is region locked as other releases say region free but seeing as it say Region 1 which is a DVD only labeling system it just goes to show how useless that product info can be.

I assumed that as you said you only liked US Blurays the least you would have is something to play them on.
If you don't want to continue on a trial and error basis your best bet is to follow the earlier link to Multi Region Magic who can supply you with a UHD player that is also region free for Blurays and dvd's so you can do all you need in one player.
You could sell your 2 other Bluray players and get some of the cost of the new one back

I still get US Blurays that don't contain dvd's that carry dvd region coding info on the back. If the studios can't get it right I'm not surprised Amazon can't either
