hi does anyone know if is avalible in uk yet and what price.currentley got av700 100gig which as been great but also got ipod 30gig so got a lot of mpeg4 files which cannot play on archos.as anyone seen one is the screen better then av700.cheers

It`s for sale now at QVC (UK) i`ve just ordered one £360 for the 80GB version and it includes the docking station, excellent price! though for this price you`ll have to be quick as the special price offer only lasts until midnight tonight (7th april)
The screens alot better than the AV700 it`s touchscreen with 800x480 resolution

I've ordered one as well - The great thing is I have 30 days to decide to keep it or not

What software do you guys recommend to convert DVDs to take advantge of the screen which has a resolution quite a bit higher than previous Archos units

As far as i`m aware you can just plug the output from your dvd player into docking station of the 704 and record the dvd direct

Talk about weird theres me saying its not out yet and then first time in ages i turn into QVC and there it is, One on order 3 easy payments 5 to 7 days and no thanks i dont want to go through to the studio Battery life seems to be impressive, although the wife not impressed

I have a archos av420 and tons of stuff that i have saved onto a external hard drive is it just a straight transfer over to the 704 or will I have to record them again ?
