Arcam vs Copy Protection CDs

I have recently bought Iron Maiden's new "Death on the Road" album and found problems playing it on my CD92. I can hear occasional quiet glitches like the disc is skipping fractionally. I also get this on my Marantz CD67 but ironically it is OK on my Denon 2900 DVD player. (I got a replacement disc which has the same problem)
I say ironically as it is a copy protected EMI "CD" and I believe that is what's causing the problem. I have heard of these discs upsetting DVD drives and in-car drives, but not dedicated CD players. I also have other discs (Including Iron Maiden's latest studio album) with the same protection on and they have played fine.
Have any other people found problems with copy protected discs in their CD players?

Also I found an old article featuring John Dawson's view when these discs were first introduced at www.british-audio.org.uk/problem_cds.htm and I was wondering if arcam and other hardware manufacturers ever got anywhere in the battle against this plague.

You're entitled to a copy of the disc, without copy protection, simply send it back to the studio, and they have to replace it!
