The software no longer appears to be available at that URL.

I have added the software to my FAQ for the DV88 at:

    http://www.envytech.co.uk/dv88

Although it will be removed if Arcam request it.

    Morning...

I have had the 1.76 upgrade installed by my dealer (after a lot of prodding to get them to get the CD's in ).

All is good...you can power the player from the load button, and my sony remote now works as it should.. hoorah..

Please could someone explain what the pass plunge option is for??

I reckon Arcam should have a page on their website with a list of the updates and what they provide.. otherwise unless you find out about it here you could be none the wiser (hell I only found out about the 1.76 update from Retro... not one word on the Arcam site.. and my dealer never has a clue...)

    cheers

    Matt

A Pluge test allows you to set up your display (contrast, brightness etc). There is one on the Video essentials disc too.

    Still confused then...

In the DV88 options screen it has this option and you either set it or normal (can't remember the specific wording).

What happens then.. I do not remeber seeing any difference anywhere when I turned it on ?

    Cheers
