Question Arcam FMJ A32 or Cambridge Audio Azur 840A

Title says it all.

I want to buy an amp to pair with my Monitor Audio Silver RS6 and i am looking at these 2 amps (perhaps you have a different suggestion? ). I have a ARCAM rDAC hooked up as well.

I like warm, punchy sound. I listen to HipHop, R&B, Jazz, Soul, EDM. A bit of everything.

Can't speak for the Cambridge Audio as not owned one but have had a few Arcam/MA set ups and found they worked well together so the A32 would get my vote.

The newer A38 can often be found cheaper. When I bought mine I paid for 475 and there was a A32 that went for 550. There was a mint A38 listed and sold recently on eBay for 400 buy it now.

Arcam A32 and the RS6 are a great match. I had the A32, upgraded to a Vincent SV236. The A32 is considered to be one of the best Arcam ever made, better than the A38. I still have the RS6 speakers though, they are really great.

I found a Arcam FMJ A29 for 380 pounds second hand. Very satisfied with it I must say. Music really comes to life

I'd get the Arcam. I've had the Alpha 9 for years and it's superb. Recently upgraded to the FMJ A39. Excellent amp like the Alpha 9, just way more power. The soundstage is incredible, open, neutral and detailed. Never fatiguing though, like some amps are. The Cambridge could be good though, never heard it. I've got the same DAC as you, works really well with the A39.

Sorry to but in to your thread. Question for @themaestro how do find the Vincent I’ve been looking at the SV237. To go with my MA Silver 6’s. Only thing putting me off is lack of HT/Bypass which I would’ve liked. Take it they are a good match.

I have the A39 recently upgraded from the A29. It's hooked up to the irDAC II. I love the combination with the sound coming out of a pair of Artcoustic speakers.
