Hi all, I'm after some advice.

I've just bought an Arcam DV88 and am really pleased with both the picture and sound. In comparison to the PS2 I was previously using, it's fantastic, even with a scart that came free with my NTL box. The question is, how much money should I be spending on the scart lead. I'd been thinking about a Philex Thor from Grandata but wonder if the Arcam deserves better.

    Any opinions gratefully received.

If you're handy with a soldering iron you could make up your own Supra AV6 RGB scart for a fraction of the retail cost of a factory made one.

EG AV6 cable per linear metre =£ 10.39

click on unterminated video cables to find it.

Couple of gold plated scarts typically few pounds each and hey presto you've got Scart cable which normally retails RRP around £70.00.

I have found QED cabels to have much better quality than most other manufacturers.

From the tests i have done I have noticed less noise in the picture but the cables do cost around £50.00

Try a company called HIFI confidential in victoria, london, they seem to be the most reasonably priced & have excellent stocks of most cables & accessories
