Arcam DV27 zoom function - is it ever enabled?

    Are there any circumstances under which the Zoom button on the DV27 remote control actually does anything (other than produce the "you can't do that" hand symbol)?

    Hmmm, my zoombutton on the remote of the DV88p always works! :S

    I'll check mine tonight , I thought it worked but haven't used it since going over to a pronto.
    Haven't really found a need for a zoom function

    in the meantime just stop watching the dodgy stuff

    I've got a 22" or so 4:3 television. When watching a 1:2.35 movie, the picture tends to get pretty small ;-) Zooming isn't so bad then.

    I've found that it only works with R1 films

    My DV88 does it with R2 too.

    Never had it work on my DV27 either.

    tried this tonight on my dv27

    worked on r1 films but not on r2 ones, how strange

    I remember that this feature worked on some movies and not on others but after reading some of the above comments and trying myself its true that it will only work with Reg 1?:confused:
