    Please Could anyone tell me if a static stage would help reduce the vibration from the dv-88 or are static stages just a gimmick and what would you suggest to use.

    What do you mean by a "static stage"
    If you are talking about isolation the cheapest way is by using zorborthane feet. You will notice that the sound becomes very clean.
    In the end it comes down to personal preference - what sound do you like.

    When you insert a CD for the first time, does it play from the very start or does it miss the first second ?
