... my crummy FX-Audio desktop DAC/amp is! I'm both embarrassed and at a loss. I've tried routing the coaxial digital output from three different blu-ray disk players (Sony UBP-X800, UBP-X700, and an older LG player) to both my Rotel RC-1572 preamp and ARCAM CDS50 SACD/CD player but neither unit detects the digital stream. Sooooo, I tried routing the output from the BD players to an old desktop DAC/amp I had in my equipment mothball fleet and it detects and digital stream flawlessly. Yes, I've tried multiple digital cables to no avail.
Any thoughts/suggestions would be much appreciated. At this point, I'm stumped :-(
EDIT: Well, I dug out a fourth digital coaxial cable and now the Rotel is happy. The ARCAM is still being obstinate. Gremlins.
