please confirm whether it does or not - I suspect so - but manual just says bass management is not available when using multichannel in

Correct .... Needs to be set in the source :thumbsup:

Only thing set in the AVR that applies to m-ch is the speaker trim levels.
 
thanks - thought so - just checking

means getting the likes of a EP-35 HD-DVD player is pointless for using analogue audio in as it only does levels not delays :(

Are you sure that trim levels are still applied in the m-ch mode? I thought this was strictly a bypass and as a result, nothing applies aside from a user being able to adjust volume.
 
Druboo is correct. Trims are applied, but nothing else. (Trims are a per-channel volume control - a generalization of the stereo balance control).
