is this a good setup? i was looking at B&W Q1s too and cant decide what to go for.
I really like the eggs because of their aestetic look and seems like they sound wicked. I'd really like to get them but is this amp overkill for them?

    Hi papachomba
The kef eggs are said to be excellent with movies but not great with music. So if you only watch movies you will be ok with the eggs .On the otherhand if you listen to music as well you would be better going for a stand mount speaker set up -kef q1-monitor audio bronze- for eg.
    Gonzo.
PS the arcam would sound superb with the stand mount speakers for music and movies.:)

gonzo, what about the lack of 6.1 for the amp? is this important?

Mk 2 eggs sound great with music as well IMHO and this is what is getting them their recent acclaim (in hi-fi mags as well as home cinema mags). Sure you can analyze shortcomings when compared to larger enclosures but they "sing" with music in a very satisfying way. I am playing more stereo music than ever since getting mine a few months ago so they must be doing something right!
