I posted this on the Arcam board, but got no response, so I thought I would try it here.

I'm trying to determine which would be the best option - a second-hand Alpha 9 (going for between £250-£270 on E-Bay) or a new NAD C352 (around £300).

They have similar output power, similar price, although the NAD would be new, with that nice new smell you get when you first unpack something...but, I digress!

Use would be mainly music, although I play the TV through the amp, and the occassional DVD. Speakers are Montior Audio Silver S1.

Obviously it's very difficult (impossible?) to demo a Alpha 9 alongside the NAD, so I'm looking for anyone who has had experience of both these amps.
    Any thoughts/opinions?
