I'm selling one and i was wondering what the going rate for a second hand one is?
Three years ago I paid £120 for a secondhand one. I hope this helps.
Not a bad player to keep and can be improved with a bit of work
http://www.users.zetnet.co.uk/avondale/ and scroll down to Arcam modification, interesting. £375.00 gets you a machine that plays in the big boys park. I have witnessed Avondale modded machines at HiFi shows, one being the very first Philips machine and it was amazing.
The 5 uses the same chip and transport as the Naim CD3 player. The TDA 1541A crown dac, do a search.........
If you want to sell, they will take your machine of your hands (provided its mint) for £125.00
one on ebay at the moment
I agree, Avondale can do great things
I want one so I can get it "Avondaled" The idea of no upgrading my source appeals to me as much as the improvement on the sound quality does
