Does this have HT bypass or processor mode? A Google leads me to think some have but it was an addition by firmware which isn't a DIY job apparently.

    hiya mate,

No, I take it you want to be able to use it to drive a front pair of speakers? I had it running with a CD82T CD player as an integrated amp and connected to various AV amps over the years running as a power amp so the AV amp was connected to the PRE in you then have to press a little switch on the back to toggle between power\integrated mode

Correct I do want to use it for the front channels and also for music separately but I needed to be able to switch using my Pronto remotes so a switch on the back won't work for me I'm afraid.

I feel your pain! Its quite tricky to find an amp where you can do this, I went for the Rega Elicit R as the button to toggle between pre\power is on the front of the amp. Its a lovely amp but not cheap

TBH the tricky part is convincing myself I need one, my Marantz 7010 is actually surprisingly good with music. So much so I'm not convinced I'd immediately notice a difference.

Would you accept £180 delivered? Happy to provide links to long term eBay and other forum feedback as a relative newbie here for reference if you wish. Thanks.

Sorry late reply - I've been away second half of the week.

Appreciate looking for a bit more, but I'm stretching myself at £180 at the mo. May get back with an offer later in the month when I have more funds if still available.

    Thanks.

That sounds like it's both far more fun than 'work work' and not 'time off' - enjoy!

I'm in Bristol - BS5 - if you were happy to accept £180 as you wouldn't need to factor in postage cost and it's practical for you to swing by with the amp when you're in the area, might that be doable?

I work early and will be home through the day after that from a little after 10am.

Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

Haha! No worries at all. Didn't know if you were driving or not, thought worth checking in case you were. Hope you both had a good day.
Will keep an eye on thread and get back to you if still available when I'm in a better position to punt in an offer towards end of month.
    Best meanwhile...

yes it was very good, the highlight was of course the monkey hanging from a branch right in front of us with his cock out. Daughter (she's 6) thought this was hilarious!
