    Hi dear forummers,

I first bought myself a whole set of arcam kit.
    A85
    Cd92
    T61

However i got a great deal on a bryston 4 bst, and had to buy it.
So now i face selling the A85 and buying a pre-amplifier, or do I??

Is the A85 a very good amplifier?

Others i am looking at are:

    Mark levinson 28
    rowland consonance
    bryston bp25

how does the A85 do as a preamplifier??

    any help is greatly appreciated
    thanks,
    kate

I have a very very good Spectral DMC-10 preamp for sale if you're interested. Cost £2500 new, yours for £800.

The A85 as a preamp is about as good as a decent £500 preamp.

    thanks for your idea's crusty.
However i am not interested in your pre amp...it does not have enough in/outs for me....I am not a big phono fan. Then i would rather use my a85
