Arcam A80 is 65 WPC and Yamaha HTR5730 is 100 WPC. Is Arcam still a better buy? Ofcourse Arcam A80 is 7.1 and Yamaha is 5.1 channel...

The Arcam A80 is a stereo amplifier only. It has nothing to do with 5.1 or 7.1.

the Arcam A90 can be fitted with a 7.1 decoding module, but still only powers the front two speakers, you need to add power amps, i'm guessing the A80 doesnt have this ability...
