They wont ship it to London for me !!!! Im probably going to pay someone to collect it unless I suddenly fancy the drive up myself.

If you want ill ship yours to Ireland - Mines on order as it's the Silver version - they are expecting a new delivery next week.

yeah, i've just rang them again, as i thought that they wouldn't ship to Ireland, but it turns out, they can't ship them at all!

Rags.....if i pay them direct, but you pick it up and ship?

Yeah no problem - you need to pay them direct as the warranty needs to be in your name. Just found out that one of my brothers university friends whos folks are up in Birmingham will pick it up and drive it down to me all in for £30 next weekend. Im sure my brother can talk him into picking them both up. He's reliable so nothing should go wrong. Go halves an obviously cover the shipping an insurance to Ireland ?

Rags,

I am in London and wanted one too, but I cannot drive due to a disability. I would normally ask my mate in manchester to pick it up for me but he is away on holiday for two weeks.

I wonder if you could pick mine up too and I can then pick it up from you in London.

Just spoken to the outlet re upgrade costs for DVD-A & was told they are trying to get the 89 model (with DVD-A) for £599.

I'm waiting for a call this week to see if they can get them. Black vsns are easier to obtain than Silver.

160 mile round trip could be on the way to buy :suicide:

It won't work. I called them and they say someone has to pay for it in the shop. So what they suggested is that someone drives there and buys 2 or 3 of these to his mates on his card.

Then Creative audio would gladly make the invoices in his friends names and ship it directly to all the addresses he gives them.

The policy is not against shipping. The policy is against buying over the phone or on the net. SO to make it clear (as long as someone go to the shop in person and PAY fo the units) Creative audio will ship it free to any UK address.

well, that buggers me up :(

Prefer to pay for large/expensive items on CC, for the extra protection.

Plus its Ireland and not the UK.

Allright lads. I just spoke to them again. They cannot accept payment by credit card over the phone so it looks like I will have to drive up myself. If anyone of you wants me to pick yours up as well you will have to send me the cash (trust me :D ) upfront. Infact I dont even have to pick them up I can ask the shop to send it to you directly as long as I pay face to face. The unit will be registered in your name.

Paid deposit via cc over the phone, they will take credit cards for them in the shop but not amex probably due to the profit margin

I'm very tempted.

If u have a barclaycard you could buy it from somewhere that will deliver, send Barclaycard the creative audio details and Barclaycard should in theory refund the difference (price promise).

DV89's are confirmed at £599 in black or silver & should be in the end of the week.

Too tempting .......I bought one :smashin:

Yup - same here - changed my order to a DV89 - for 100 notes more I just thought what the heck. Probably a bit stupid given that I have limited interest in the music side of things....

Ok this is too good a deal to miss, so I'm very up for it.

Are you still going up to the shop to pay for these things or have you already been?

Cheers,

Paul.

Guys - im going up this Saturday and I can pick them up no problem - we can split the petrol costs evenly. However given that I will have to pay for them from my account I would like payment upfront from anyone who would like me to pick theirs up as well. I can get a receipt cut in your name from creative audio no problem (already discussed it with them). Your going to have to trust me on this as im not willing to stump up myself directly. However given that there are three days left I am not sure how this can be done.

its ok rags :) thanks for the offer, but i'm going to take a little trip on a ryanair special!

Actually - the otherway to do it is for you to pay a deposit to Creative Audio and I go up and pay the balance. As long as the deposit is substantial it reduces the risk for me.

Yep that would work - what kinda amount would you be comfortable paying?

If they can take £200 deposit then there is no reason why they can take some more. Though whatever the amount we will have to be sur to drop em a line and let em know your gonna come and get em!
