ARC defaulting to TV everytime i turn it on

I have a Denon 1911 and a Samsung 55C6400 (costco version of the 6500) and AT&T Uverse. I have 1 HDMI cable from the tv to the 1911 and the cable into the 1911 SAT/CBL port. With HDMI control on, every time I power on the TV it sends a signal to the receiver to switch to TV input instead of SAT/CBL. My wife does not want to have to hit a bunch of buttons and wait everytime she turns on the TV. Please help!

Have you got "HDMI Control = On"?

Yes, I want the hdmi control on so that it will control volume and power just want it to stay on sat/cab not default switch to tv everytime
