Really? I thought they would be excellent. In what way are they bad?My problem is that I keep buying from John Lewis!
Pain in the arse to deal with!

That's interesting about the Smart Keyboard. I have one (hopefully) arriving this week. I sat hopefully as it's still stuck on "Processing Items" even though it says Delivers 22 Nov (tomorrow) to 27 Nov....?No Gap on my SS - I think exchange it while you can
I do think Apples quality control is not what is used to be. We’ve been buying apple products for years with no issue but had loads very recently.
My first S4 had a mark under the screen, second was fine.
My first 2018 iPad Pro 12.9 - Mark on screen
My second 2018 Ipad 12.9 - Mark on screen (3rd was fine)
First 2 smart keyboards also had quality issues and 3rd time lucky
The good thing was apple are always a breeze to exchange with, the only issue was that all the above products were, or still are, short in supply so I had to do a lot of reserving and travelling.
Is it worth paying the extra £40 with John Lewis for their accidental damage cover or is apple care a better option?
I purchased the JL accidental damage. From what i could see there were no excesses to pay (Applecare+ has an excess) and no limits on claims (Applecare+ limits to 2 claims over the 2 year period). So £40 v £89 (for the aluminium non cellular version) to me was a no brainer.
I could regret saying that if i have to make a claim though - never used JL additional warranty!
Pretty sure it doesn’t work for cosmetic appearance.I purchased AppleCare plus for my iPhone and my Apple Watch. I always buy for my iPhones but this is the first time for my Apple Wach. Main reason I bought was that I bought the SS model and intend to keep for a couple of years.
I have NEVER used any of my AC+’s as I’m careful with my stuff. I often wondered how it works. I mean, what if you scratch your device? I don’t think they’d exchange it for a scratch. How bad does your device have to be before you can get a replacement? Is it just when it stops working?
Decided to contact JL technical support via email rather than driving back to store. They got back in touch with me on Friday asking me to take it back to branch for a full refund as they can’t guarantee the next one won’t have the same gap.
A shame, but will wait for new stocks to come in online and repurchase. Back to my AW2 for the time being.
StainlessWas yours aluminium or stainless steel? I bought a pace grey aluminium yesterday from JL and can’t see any gap on mine.
Any recommendations for third party straps? Looking for a leather and a metal link version. Thanks!
My Apple Watch, when charging, seems to "get stuck" at 99%. It's strange. I take it off charge, put it back on and it'll then jump up to 100%. Has anyone else noticed this?
Has OP tried a hard reset?Never had this. I would try a complete powerdown/soft reset and see if that cures it.
Was going to try this but last night it did "pop" up to 100%...Never had this. I would try a complete powerdown/soft reset and see if that cures it.
