    Just to update this thread - the parcel was posted out however has since gone missing in the post.

    I have been in contact with JT4 regarding this parcel and unfortunately he missed the parcel being delivered the day after I posted it RMSD. The post office have since lost it and have not been able to deliver the goods to him.

    I am therefore going to put in a claim via the RM website however it is not allowing me to put in the claim until 5 working days after expected delivery date.

    Willing to do whatever's required to assist here, and heres hoping we have a swift turnaround. As soon as I receive a refund I will provide jt4 with his money.

    @bigbfan

    Standard procedure is if the parcel has been confirmed as missing, then a full refund needs to be paid to the buyer while you pursue the refund claim. I'll move the thread to disputes simply to stop it being bumped in the live classifieds.

    Regards

    @Apsilon

    Understood.. happy to refund as soon as Post Office confirm that the parcel is missing. Not doubting @Jt4 one bit, however I would prefer to get this claim processed and accepted before refunding.

    Normally, standard procedure is to refund immediately. However, I'm quite happy for you to wait for confirmation as long as the buyer is also in accordance with it.

    I'm happy to wait until the claim process has started. We have had good communication all the way through and have kept each other updated at each stage.

    It is just a shame that the Royal Mail have lost this item and @bigbfan now has to go through a claim process. Neither of us have ever had any issues with RMSD before, but I guess every now and again Royal Mail must make a mistake.

    Hello,

    Just thought I would update the thread. RM are useless - after ringing them this morning they have advised that the parcel is at the local RM depot and will be delivered today. So ive been keeping an eye on the tracking and clearly it has not been delivered. So I have rang again to be told that the parcel is being investigated and my evidence and claim has been accepted. They also stated the claim will take 30 days for it to be processed.

    Cant be bothered faffing around with RM as they are clearly frustrating.. therefore I have taken the hit and send Jt4 a full refund earlier today.. heres hoping I will get a surprise cheque in the post some day which should hopefully cover the losses.

    Really apologise about the inconvenience Jt4 - this is annoying that RM have not been able to deliver, specifically after using the services for years and without a single failure.. just goes to show that you can never rely on any service that is marketed as "guaranteed"

    Cheers

    Many thanks for the prompt resolution. I'll wait for Jt4 to confirm and then archive as complete.

    @bigbfan

    Really appreciate the refund, and understand the frustration with Royal Mail.

    The guys at the Depot have been trying to find where the parcel is since Friday when I went in with the 'missed delivery card' from the postman.

    When I chased up and spoke with the manager on Monday he advised me that the parcel should have come back to the Depot but they couldn't find it and the sender should put in a claim.

    I can't believe they are still saying 30 days to sort this out.

    I can confirm no delivery today and will of course let you know if this does turn up (I assume I will still need to sign for this so the tracking would also update). If it does turn up I'll send through the payment again.

    Just for the record this trade was really smooth and I would happily deal with @bigbfan again.

    The issue is with Royal Mail who somehow have lost the parcel.

    Happy for this to be archived.

    Just an update - RM are being very difficult at the moment. I could provide the receipt for the Apple TV but not for the Nimbus - so they don't seem to be believing the evidence and they seem to be dragging their feet.

    I feel sorry for anyone having to liaise with these jokers on a claim :(

    Hello - another update!

    I had given up hope on this claim with RM and had written off the £100 however Royal Mail sent over a cheque for £120 over the weekend.

    £100 for the stuff, £11 postage and £9 compensation :)

    Apologies to @Jt4 for the problems caused and its good to say we can draw a line under this chapter..

    Taught me a lesson to blindly trust RMSD - they do lose stuff too!!

    @bigbfan glad the Royal Mail have sorted this out.

    I've just tried to leave positive feedback, but am hitting an error which I guess is caused by the thread being moved.

    For the record I would have said "Trust worthy seller, great comms and quick dispatch, although the sale didn't conclude due to the Royal Mail losing the package, quick and full refund sent. Would happily deal again."
