Looking for a 3Tb Apple Time Capsule 4th or 5th generation.

Prefer in working order, would consider one needing a hard drive replacement.

Let me know what you have.

    Location: North Lancashire

I'm a bit anxious about using anything other than Apple, as I when used a WD My Cloud as a Time Machine, I had nothing but trouble with it not backing up and not being able to restore properly etc.

I changed to a 4th Gen T Capsule and had no problems, I'm back with Mac again and don't want a repeat of my bad experiences with 3rd party storage, hence my looking for Apple gear.

I use my Synology DS413j to Time Machine backup 3 seperate Apple Devices at home. Works like a dream and there's a step by step tutorial on the Synology site. Gives all the same features as a Time Machine PLUS RAID support as well.

I have a IMac, MBP and MBA all backing up to it for the past three years and I've used it to restore too when my MBP video card failed. I had nothing but problems with my Extreme and express...sorry don't mean to spoil your thread [emoji4]

Hi GTM, nasty bug has prevented me pursuing this further. I can store my photo and iTunes libraries on an ext HDrive so 2Gb will suffice for OS and doc backup.

Can you PM me your details and I'll complete the purchase if still available.

    Cheers
    H
