Rumours
Apple is planning to go in to production of its new iPhone this quarter, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.
The latest iPhone will be 'similar in size and shape' to the existing device, which is not surprisingly really, and may be launched this Summer, according to 'people familiar with the device's production'.
The WSJ's sources also say that Apple is continuing to work on a less expensive model with its manufacturing partners in Asia that could see a luanch in the second half of 2013. The 'iPhone Lite' is likely to sport a four-inch display use a different, presumably cheaper, casing from the higher-end iPhone.
Analysts have said they expect Apple to launch its next iPhone around the summer.
