Was wondering if anyone has considered fitting an Apple Mini Mac into their car

Was thinking that it may be a cheap way of getting Sat Nav, DVD, and MP3's without having to spend ££££'s...

I was also wondering how easy it would be to connect a MiniMac/PC to a car's existing audio system so that the sound played through the car speakers whilst also allowing the head unit to continue functioning as well...

By the way, i have a Ford Focus so if anyone has details which relate to one of them it would be great

I'd forget a normal microATX PC, the power consumption would be a no-no unless you're willing to do some modding.

Amazingly the Mac Mini only seems to consume between 20 and 28 Watts of power. I'm not sure how well the drive would take to the vibrations in a car though. Post here if you get it working, I'd be interested.

As for a feed in, could you knock up something which goes into the CD Changer input (if you havn't already got one?) Do a search for IPods in cars.

The Mac mini uses laptop drives so it will probably cope with vibrations OK. Potholes....??
