You’ll also note on that pic no mark either!!
I'm not looking for an argument here. It just wasn't as described.
I took delivery and opened it up to check. I took pictures straight away and came on here to report the problems.
I have not caused any marks or dirt on phone/cable in such a small amount of time.
Note date and time stamp at top, pics taken same day, earlier one when advert put on, later one when battery query raised
What conclusion would you find agreeable?
Do you wish to keep, return or agree another solution?
Well I get the impression the seller wouldn't be particularly inclined to offer a partial refund? So I guess I should just return for a refund?
@mrxfilms would you entertain an agreeable partial refund?
The way I see it is this....I’ve been on here and traded in and out for the 14 years, not one query or complaint, similarly on eBay with the same user name, so it’s true to say I’m unhappy at this given I know the condition and have proven when pics were taken. As stated it’s possible the cord may have rubbed some dirt in the Jiffy bag as I couldn’t rewind it neatly to fit in the smaller compartment, and more notably I do not accept the mark the buyer relates too and my pics clearly show no such mark. It’s possible I accept there could be a dirt mark on the back near the lens as I do not have a pic, although it clearly follows the line of the silicone case it has always been enclosed in, so quite possibly missed as I cleaned the screen after removing the toughened glass protector, and then having to continue handling it at the buyers request, and would simply require a wipe. So my question rather answer is what does the seller expect? I do not consider a refund a reasonable outcome at all, particularly given the appearance of a mark since receipt, so ask what is suggested and I will consider whether I feel it’s acceotable or not before worrying about the consequences of not.
Thank you, and you are both well established and very credible members hence why I’m looking for a mutual agreement with limited steering from me and without any mandates from Admin or other Mods
@mrxfilms In your defence it may of been easy to miss the mark on the screen glass? I note your pictures aren't as close up as mine is.
I am not doubting your honesty or anything like that (although you seem to be questioning mine?).
Given the price I paid And from description I expected it to be 'as new' but it wasnt.
If I just return for a refund no one has lost anything have they? It's just one of those things.
You’ve lost me, so you’re neither Admin or a Mod?
He's a Moderator. I think he means he wants an amicable resolution without one being forced on or dictated to us.
Then I’ll consider my position and respond when I feel less agitated no later than this time tomorrow
I would like a resolution asap really.
Just to clarify are you actually accusing me of lying about condition? or causing marks myself and then lying about it? Because that wouldn't be very nice and I just wouldn't do that.
It wasn't 'pristine and indistinguishable from new' you can tell that from the pictures I uploaded as soon as I received it.
I’m not Admin, I am a Mod.
There are also Senior Mods who may intervene should you wish via escalation.
Hi, I took a couple more pictures of bottom of phone to show dirt in microphone hole and wear damage on headphone socket. I definitely could not of caused these things in the 24 hours I have had phone. I am not uploading these to antagonise , just wanted to get it on record as my honesty seems to be being questioned. Thanks
Nobody’s honesty is being questioned here.
OK then. I must of misunderstood certain wordings by people then. My apologises.
Update? We have gone past the time limit you set yourself. Thank you
Let me follow this up please, no need to persist chasing.
Ok, I was unsure on how to proceed. I'll await an update.
@mrxfilms can you please update your position as a priority? You advised it would be earlier on today but nothing materialised
I’d like an update from @mrxfilms the next time he is online. Also pending a serial number from him which he stated he would try to find and send over
(8.33am today and after 10.27pm last night)
@mrxfilms yet again you’ve been online via Tapatalk this afternoon yet you are delaying a response?
Shall I take your silence both here and PM as a sign that you are done with this and want no further platform to respond?
You have until midnight tonight to address your position and my PM otherwise I’ll escalate my actions which will involve warnings and a potential forum suspension.
Communication is key here
Seller suspended temporarily
@mrxfilms can we please not resolve this amicably?
I'm not saying the phone is in terrible condition or been badly looked after at all, it's in a perfectly acceptable condition for a used phone (although I have no used it properly yet due to waiting for resolution to this). Unfortunately cosmetically it does not match your description of 'mint', 'as new' and 'pristine' as anyone can see from he pictures I have taken.
Ok, my patience is fast running out as the seller has been online in the last hour.......nothing not even the courtesy to explain.
@mrxfilms has just sealed his fate in the classifieds I’m very sorry to report.
Despite assurances that he’d address my PM’s asking for a serial number or IMEI number, despite his offer of returning within 24 hours to feedback and despite being reading the forums many times between now and then he has done precisely nothing.
For the record the buyer was looking for a low value nominal partial refund to recompense for the fact that the phone was falsely advertised. The seller had a platform to counter this and reach an amicable solution instead he just ignored everyone.
I’m not wasting anyone else’s time, so my advice to the buyer is to sell it or clean and keep it.
The seller is currently on a 30-day suspension from the classifieds, this may be converted into a permanent ban, after being a member for 14 years and >300 positive feedback it’s a very sad end to an easily resolved situation.
