    SOLD

I’m looking to sell my 2008 24” iMac with 3.06 GHz Intel "Core 2 Duo" cpu, 4 GB of RAM, a 320GB SATA HDD, slot-loading DVD-R DL "SuperDrive", NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS graphics acceleration with 512 MB of GDDR3 memory, a built-in iSight video camera, and built-in stereo speakers underneath the 24" glossy TFT Active Matrix LCD (1920x1200 native) display.

Connectivity includes three USB 2.0 ports, a Firewire "400" port and a Firewire "800" port, built-in AirPort Extreme, and Gigabit Ethernet, as well as mini-DVI, which supports an external display in "extended desktop" mode.

It’s in amaculate condition with no marks or scratches to the body or screen, no bad pixels either.

Comes in retail box complete with a Bluetooth Apple mouse, Bluetooth Apple keyboard, install cd’s and a fresh copy of OSX El Capitan installed.

An absolutely brilliant system that has done me proud, sadly only selling due to the ever increasing demands of video editing which it’s struggling to cope with.

The observant will notice the original spec of these is a 1TB disc but that failed a few years ago and I replaced with a 320GB SATA drive.

Would much rather this was collected from Hampshire RG24 but could be persuaded to post at your cost.

    Hi,

Apologies I don't get to travel out of Hampshire very often sadly.

    Cheers,

Hi Tony. Please excuse my ignorance as I am not all that clued up on older iMac's but how well does this one run day to day apps? Looking at this as a potential Christmas present for my 11 year old daughter so will mostly be used for homework and games from the app store.

Hi, sorry for the delay ... this is a really capable machine, it will run MS Office absolutely fine along with web, Steam, iMovie, GarageBand, Spotify, Sonos, iTunes, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and other App Store stuff. It happily runs some high end software like Apple Logic also. I started doing a lot of mountain bike trail recording in 4k and the system does struggle to process files of many GB in size which is why it’s being retired. It’s not a machine for modern gaming either but can cope with Minecraft and older games such as Counterstrike and Half Life. Any questions please let me know.
