Apple, any idea as to how to contact them?

I would like to be able to write to Apple, either e-mail or post, but try as I might I can not find any real contact details on their website, just feedback forms or £35 per incident 0870 numbers.
I have a 13 month old ipod that's packed up and I really don't feel that Apple can justify the £162 that they are asking for in order to replace it with another model that maybe refurbished or secondhand and with only a 90 day warranty.
I'd rather spend the money on another companies product, hopefully one that won't pack up one month after the warranty has run out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Managed to locate their European HQ in Dublin by going to "Saynoto0870" and typing Apple in the alternative phone number finder.
After ringing an 0800 number and speaking to Apples Customer Relation department I'm happy to say that they have agreed to service the Ipod FOC.

So good on Apple!
