You scored 10 out of a possible 15

Commiserations - you failed the sample British history test (you needed more than 10 to pass). If this was the real citizenship test you would need to wait a week and pay £50 to take the test again, and hand over your British passport

The NATO question is a bit odd in a British citizenship test - it's not exactly unique to Britain.

There is a book to study before taking the test though.
Anyway, you can always claim to be Scottish not British

Instead of a test they should be teaching citizen hopefuls how to queue properly, not to stare, quietly mutter to oneself when things go wrong and moan about the weather.

Why? I don't recall any of those examples coming up in history lessons so how the hell am I supposed to know the answers.

Potatoe famines isn't something I search for on Google on a quiet day!

Good job I only have a Canadian passport eh? ;)

Seriously though, what does knowing British history give any indication of whether I'm a worthy UK citizen or not?

As long as I pay my taxes, don't commit crime...
Surely that's all that's required to be a good citizen?
