Can we not have an app now? The previous app issues are long gone, I think a more concise and concentrated platform would be perfect.

I would have thought a decent AVF app should be available now. AVF is a rather successful website with a very large global membership and there are much smaller sites that have their own functioning app. Any news regarding this? Anything in development?

I must admit I missed the app , and did wander away from here for a while because of that , however , I came back and to be honest mobile browsing works for me , I doubt you will get your wishes .....

Not sure why AVF would produce an app - the advertising revenue they’re generating by filling our screens with ads must be producing quite an income!

Particularly as the slow loading means you click on one thread, only for another thread to open as the screen ‘jumps’ just as you’re clicking, meaning you have to go back and click again to get to the thread you wanted. So generates several lots of ad income from the separate page loads you have to go through to get to where you want to be.

An app would destroy that revenue stream! [\cynic]

That slow loading of the ads gets me every time. Always clicking back in to a thread I've just looked at. Or I try to manage my threads about 50 times a day.

As you say though, that's the reason there won't be an app
