Right just managed to sort out a deal on a ProV courtesy of uczmeg.
Now deciding on what screen to chose. Ebuyer are selling this AOC 19inch TFT for £352. Seems like great value for money to me. But the question is will it be any good as a TV?
I've heard that it's very good for regular PC use and most users haven't experienced much ghosting on games. Also, people have said the colours it produces are good for watching dvds.
    Any opinions appreciated.

I've got the 17" version of that screen also running at 1280x1024, and I watch TV on the screen using a Hauppage PCI card.

It's pretty good. They only gripe I have about it is that quick pans get very blurry and are difficult to watch.

For instance, it's pretty difficult to properlly read the credits on TV shows if they scroll at a medium to fast pace.

It might be easier to watch from further away, but I'm sitting normal distance from the screen as it's attached to my PC. If you could get a few feet away it might make it a little easier.

Fast paced action games don't suffer from this, and I can play any game quite happily.

What about the viewing angle? Do you get a good pic by looking at it at say 45degrees?

You'd really want a 'faster' screen something around 16ms would improve your viewing pleasure...

The viewing angle isn't too bad, but the brightness of the picture changes quite dramatically. You would really want to try at look at it from a more head on angle if possible.

I have just bought a AOC LM-919 and it is great, seeing a dvi at 1280x1024 and it is so crisp for pics and web etc.

Have never liked tft's for video as too much lag to the frames, but monster inc looked really clean.
